We were a little late in transitioning our garden from winter to summer but hopefully with all the coastal breezes it'll be okay. I've loved watching our garden grow over the last few months. Harvesting kale and herbs and artichoke right from our backyard is something I never thought I'd be doing - let alone thoroughly enjoying!
We live in the safest neighborhood in Los Angeles. Seriously, it's guarded by military police and the only way in is with a DOD ID card. Kids play out in the cul de sac all afternoon and in to the evening while parents casually watch from driveways or open garages or not at all. I love it.
I've started a new journal. Thoughts, ideas, quotes, things I want to remember throughout our days. It's not just for me, it's a whole family journal. But I do have 28 years of living on this planet, 6 years of being a parent and about 4 years of being WOKE (do we still say that? probably not) to the chemicals, harmful effects, and straight up junk in most products, foods, etc we all use on the daily. So I feel I can talk about this with a bit of authority and know-how.
This new moon has me all sorts of introspective. As my business, Hello, Nourish, is flourishing (also the name of the group health coaching program I just announced! haha), I'm pulled back towards home and towards nourishing the ones around me with personal connections and figuring out or exploring how those things can coexist.
Each pregnancy has brought something different, caused a new experience. But nothing ever like this. I started feeling the nausea and morning sickness before I even took a pregnancy test. I replaced my jeans with joggers and leggings around 6 weeks and ordered a pair of maternity jeans around the same time.
